The next innovation in blogging technology will probably not come from within the Real Estate blogging community.
I'm not saying this because I don't have faith in the creative minds that occupy this real estate space. I do. But innovation is more likely to come from those who are focused on the larger blogging community outside of the RE.net.
This was true last at last years BlogWorld, where new technologies like Utterz made their debut.
This is one of the main reasons I'm happy to be speaking at REBlogWorld. Of course I'm happy to be doing my presentaion on Using And Abusing The Latest Web 2.0 tools. And I'm also looking forward to hearing the other speakers as well. But the real draw for me was that REBlogWorld is part of the larger BlogWorld experience that includes REBlogWorld on September 19th and BlogWorld on September 20 and 21.
When you register for REBlogWorld, you get all three days for one price. And the good guys (Todd Carpenter and Jason Berman) putting together REBlogWorld have worked out a 20% discount for ActiveRain members. Just enter ACVIP in the promotional box during registration, then click reply to see the new price before entering your payment information. But this $350 price goes to $450 on August 22. So, & you have only a few days left to get the best deal.

Hopefully, I'll see you there.
Jeff Turner aka respres

So true, Jeff. So much of what we see in our RE worlkd on-line and in marketing was first used in other industries. We have, like the auto industry, lagged behind in some ways. Nice to see how much progress has been made in jus a few years, and how RE has adapted other technologies, etc. for use in our profession.
I am hoping to be there on the 19th.
Jeff
Hi Jeff, While there are some new networks, the tools we are able to have to do our real estate is really becoming quite awesome. And I would imagine you will be running across even more resources at Blogworld.
Has anyone ever been able to determine how many in the real estate profession ( less than the mortgage profession-I think) are actually blogging and building a real on line presence.
Seems to be a real increase in the numbers for those providing tools to real estate, just wondered how many in the re profession are blogging now.
Jeff, this sounds very cool. I can't imagine more, but know that you will share upon your return. I've already made another commitment to teach dancing during that time....;-( It would be fun to meet everyone. ;-)
Hi Jeff,
Thanks for the detailed schedule. I'm registered and looking forward to it myself.
I'm also curious about William's question above about the number of Realtor bloggers? I can tell you this time last year at a CRS event in Santa Barbara the question was posed to the group. The room was full and fewer than 10% raised their hand (a few of us Rainers among the group) when asked that question. Now keep in mind these are CRS agents who are supposed to be the cream of the crop. What does that say for our industry?
I'd be very interested in your opinion.
I would really love to come out... time and money are the only issues... and Matt won't buy this time.
What an incredible line up! I want to come soooo bad... I wish I could just travel to these Blog/Tech events every other month or so!!!
This one I'm missing this year - but I know I'm the one missing out :( I'll miss y'all !!
Jeff,
Thanks or the post. Appears as though ActiveRain will be well represented. Likewise, the seminar material is rather extensive. Unfortunately, I won't be able to attend. However, I trust salient points will be posted in the blogs of those in attendance.
Definitely looking forward to three days of information over load!
Sounds pretty interesting and cool! You think you can share some of good tips you'll get with some of us that won't be able to make it there? I'll look forward to your new blogs to read all the new stuff.
If only my Trust Fund would kick in.. I really want to be at BlogWorld. Will buy a few lottery tickets this week.
Using & abusing the latest 2.0 tools ... I SO am moderating that one. ;)
Mariana... I was SO wondering who they were assigning to try and moderate me. :)
Looks and sounds like it will be a great event. Unfortunately I'm not going to be able to make it this time around (maybe next year!). I'll look forward to the various "recaps" during and afterwards!
{SVW Hubba}....
I gotta park so I can hang on to the dates :)
TLW...ROAR!
I love the heading of the class you are teaching. Using and Abusing web 2.0 tool. Classic. Wish I could attended. Yall should do a webinar.
I like the idea of a webinar! It sounds like a great three days but unfortunately I am saving my pennies for my daughter's visit from CA and a trip to Africa some day!
JEFF!!! I don't know that I can make this one (but will sure try!) My schedule is so far out of control and haven't had a day off in lots of weeks. Weekdays are anywhere from 12-16 hour days :(
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let me know if any groups are getting together for lunch or dinners or parties or anything. I can spare a couple hours here and there but not whole days :(
I just signed up at the last minute for the big discounts!!! Looking forward to the event. The RE section looks so great that it will be hard to which room to go to.
Looks to be a great event - wish I could be there - can't make it this year.
Jeff I can't be there. So instead I'll have a front row seat thanks to your blogg.
All... I decided to jailbreak my iPhone so I could use Qik.com to live stream some of the sessions. We'll see how well it works. The Qik.com live stream widget is not in my sidebar here.
