My mobile blog fest begins tomorrow morning at 4:00 AM.
That's when the entire Turner family, six kids and two parents, will head off on our annual road trip to West Virginia. I blogged all along the way last year on our CA TO WV... AND BACK AGAIN blog. This year I'm doing it again, only I'll be using as many new technologies as I can to chronicle our journey.
The main tool this year? Utterz.
Most of the posts created on our famiy travel blog will be generated using Utterz. I'm confident I'll be able to show a number of creative ways to use some of the technologies that have surfacec since our last trip a year ago. I'll also be using Twitter, Brightkite, editable Google maps, and other mobile tools. in addition, depending on bandwidth, I'll be using some live video streaming, Real Estate Shows (of course), and I'm even going to throw in some Eyejot This! action along the way.
This trip will certainly provide the breadth of creative opportunites required to show how versatile some of the latest, proven technologies can be. But what I'm really hoping is that it will serve to get your own creative juices flowing.
So, come join us... virtually. There may not be any more room in the truck, but there's plenty of room on the 'net. I think we'll all have some fun and you may get a few new ideas along the way!
Jeff Turner aka respres

safe trip, Jeff. I'll be watching for your adventures!
Jeff - Have a spectacular trip and we will watch for updates. Have you tried out Real Pro System's VillageMaker product yet? This service might just be a perfect fit for your trip and your mobile blogging.
Sounds awesome Jeff. I'll be looking for your updates and enjoying the experience right along with you.
I followed this trip last year and will follow it again this year... Have FUN !
I'm in for following along on the adventures.. Have fun.
that is a loooooong drive with six kids in tow, lol. be safe and have fun :)
Looking forward to seeing how it works for you. You're a brave man...that's a LONG drive. Enjoy!
I wish you a fun, safe and as-sane-as-having-eight-people-in-a-vehicle-can-be journey. What a wonderful family thing to do!
Jeff - have a safe trip and enjoy the ride. If you are coming back through Ohio after July 12th give me a call. If I can get to a meeting point within reason I'd love to meet you and the gang. Happy Trails!
Wow, that is a heck of a journey you are taking. Would be interesting to watch, and all the tricks you are planning to use.
Have an enjoyable vacation
Jeff, glad to hear that you will be using your own program along with all the rest. Sounds like a fabulous trip...glad I'll be living it vicariously, though. Sounds a little cramped in the truck.
I hope that you will point out each techy thing you use. This page may be a little difficult on the road to load since it goes into a black hole for awhile before loading...take care, enjoy and see you at Inman next month.
Hey Jeff, I hope you all have a blast on your trip! Look forward to learning more about the sites you mentioned, Utterz is one that I have not signed up for yet but may have to try. :)
Maybe I'll catch you guys in the Bayou City? :)
I'm sure it will be fun and informative for us. If I tried this I might have to walk behind the car. I'm not sure the wife would enjoy all the process on the trip.
Jeff, what a great dad! Driving with that clan all of the way to West Virginia...I'm sure this will be fun to watch, and your kids will remember all of the fun times you'll have. Mine still remember those special vacations we took. ;-)
What is your route? I bet there are some folks that will know some pretty cool places to hit.
We're heading South this time around... through El Paso, San Antonio, Houston, New Orleans, Birmingham and on to Grafton, WV! Constant updates will be available at http://ca2wv.blogspot.com
I love blogs....and mobile blogging is best, most interesting...at least for those who enjoy exploring and learning about new places....Thank You for doing this....Very cool Jeff;)
Safe Travels....
Hi Jeff, I love EyeJot .. thanks to you. Have a safe trip and I look forward to learning more about Utterz during your trip.

Jeff- I can't wait to see how this turns out. I feel like I have a technology cunsultant on my team with your reports and videos on how all of this new technology can be used in a creative way to market real estate. Thank you, It's really helpful.
Jeff it is just amazing how many new tools have been added over the last year. Technology just keeps getting better and better.
Have a wonderful & safe trip Jeff! Will there me a Rocky Mountain stop on the way back at the end of the summer?
'Sounds awesome! I'm eager to see the technologies you use and I WILL try each myself. The timing is great for me, since I'll be house-sitting and pet-sitting for my daughter and I plan to use the time to explore and learn as much as possible some new technologies.
Jeff that just sounds crazy! Driving that distance...how many days does it take? Be safe on the road!
Six kids in tow? WOW! Have fun. On another note... I'll have to check out some of these tools you've mentioned.
Jeff, I went and checked out the last travel blog and you had some amazing pictures of the Grand Canyon. This sound like I great idea! I have got to get better at all of these technological and mobile options so I can do some of this too. However, it would probably drive my wife crazy!
Are we there yet? He's looking at me... It's too hot in here-its too cold in here... I don't feel so good... She touched me...Are we there yet now??? huh? huh??? Are we dad????????

Jeff - finding the time is going to be an issue for me so for now Ive bookmarked it and will be bac to look at some of the links.
Jeff- How do you create the link to google maps. I've created personalized maps but can't figure out how to do what you've done, which is really cool. Thanks!
Gish darn it all...no room in the truck? Was so looking forward to hearing more wisdom while singing some tunes...
Hi Jeff, I want a job at DQ like headmutha!
Jeff, Thanks for the Links. Is seems customizing blog pages and finding new ways to make them come to life is the hype these past few weeks. I literally had no idea about these resources. Great education.
Hi Jeff,
If this is the 1st time in West Virginia, then You have to make a point to visit FENTON ART GLASS COMPANY in Williamstown, WV. They are world famous...
Our family stopped to see this glass company, and were overwhelmed at the glass artisan craftsman. Most of the work is done by hand, and they display the glass making in front of you. Plus, they have some AWESOME colored glass, you'll probably take back to California with you.
ENJOY IT!!!
Jeff it was great to meet you at Inman. I am the southern lady Lynne Pope from Redondo beach. I am trying to join localism and for a young grandmother its no easy feat. I love your flicker photo of the bee. if you twitter me do you need my phone number? 310-863-7582 I need a human contact.
{SVW Hubba}...
Looks like I have some catching up to. Funny how the world just goes on with out me :)
TLW...ROAR!
So... how did the mobile blogging go? I tried it before with not-so-good success.
That sounds very cool Jeff. By the way, thanks for all of the posting that you do. A lot of great info for us.
Jeff,
When I was working cows in Oklahoma in April, we had several that had a problem with their Utterz. A little antibiotic, and everything was back to normal.
Mike in Tucson
Jeff - have a great trip - I look forward to seeing these tools in action!
