The last time I tested BubbleGuru.com here on ActiveRain was in May of 2007. It was in Beta 3 at the time and it broke a few things for people trying to view these pages in IE7. Since I notified the developers of the problem at the time and it's been 9 months since the last test, I thought it was time to give it another try.
Please note: Because of the way you have to insert it here on ActiveRain, it will pop up for each new post you navigate to in my account. That's pretty annoying, I admit. I doesn't work that way on other blog platforms, like a self-hosted Wordpress installation. Since you can put the ebmed code in the footer, it treats the site as a whole and will only play it the first time someone navigates to your site.
Please let me know if this new edition of BubbleGuru.com creates any problems for those of you on IE7.
EDIT: I have taken the bubble off the site and you can see what it looked like here: http://activerain.com/blogsview/410253/The-Missing-Bubble-Guru

Very Cool technique... You never cease to amaze me
Judy... I think it would be an interesting element to add for a special announcement about something, then remove it when the event is over, especially here on AR where it plays on every new post you load. On your personal blog, it could be used as a welcome greeting. It would only play the first time they came to the site.
Laura... :)
Thanks Jeff- you read my untechy mind... What do I do with it. Now I know!!!
I see it! it worked just fine, kinda scared me a little bit. Still cool though.
Hey Jeff you need your own TV show.
Hi Jeff - that little bubble with you inside it followed me all down the page......probably cool to some, creepy to some...... not sure where I fall, but interesting technology nevertheless.
Ann
LOL that bubble is spooky, as I scroll down it follows!
kk
Jeff, this tool it way kewl. It scrolls down the screen as well. I've gotta check that out.
Love this site! I didn't know about it so I've scored this morning. Noticed a few Mac comments (being snoopy). I'd love to know if I should get a Mac next time (soon). Don't have time for another learning curve, and don't know the down side - if any, but something keeps telling me to switch... like when I'm trying to get Excel to work when Outlook is open; heaven forbid Word is open too.
Thanks AGAIN.
Great post and tool. Reminds me a lot likc Pac-Man. Only this time I think I won. The bubble never did catch me
Good Luck
Tony
Yes I am on IE ...yes I know.. I know ... still on windows not a Mac converter yet...
but your little bubble poppie thing is the coolest! thanks for sharing....
PS Is that coming to Real Estate Shows, too?!
Jeff,
You followed me all the way to the bottom of the page. Very cool and I like your new picture.
Hey Jeff! It is always a pleasure listening and watching your video tutorials and such, but it is a little creepy how that bubble follows you down the screen as you scroll down the page. ;-)
Cool tool! Worth trying out.
