Dave Morehead understands the true meaning of Memorial Day. A few days ago, after reading about our Memorial Day idea, Dave shared with me a couple of short, but powerful emails and a Show he created as a tribute to a fallen friend.
- Jeff, Thank you for sharing your idea. Thought you might like to see what I did last night using your idea. Thanks for allowing me to finally be able to come to terms with that whole nightmare of what so many of us, both as Vets and as a nation, went through. Dave. [A Tribute To My Best Friend]
I see a lot of Shows. So it takes a lot to make me tear up. Dave’s show made me well up with tears. So, I asked Dave for permission to share his Show and his story with everyone on Memorial Day.

Linda... I know Dave will be reading these comments and smiling.
Mariana... Dave nailed that one.
Lysa... freedom is not free. But it's easy to wander through this wonderful life we lead and forget that.
Paula... thank you.
Jeff and Dave
Thanks for sharing your story.
While we all enjoy the day off work, the BBQ, or the weekend campout. Let us not forget the men & women that made this possible for us. In Dave's case, he has a very specific person (Chuckie) that he recognizes on this day, others may not have a direct tie to a fallen soldier.
If you're in the latter category. Take a minute to find one and let their family know how much you appreciate their loved one. That's what memorial day is all about.
This site commerates all who have fallen, you can post a comment or look up a name. http://www.iwillsoaragain.com/FallenSoldiers2007.htm

Dave, Very touching video and words that you shared with us. As parents of two Marines, one ex and one active, TLW and I are just so fortunate that neither have had to go to Iraq. Even though both would welcome the call. All are in our prayers today.
Thanks for sharing Dave's story with us Jeff.
Thank you.
Lisa and Michele... thank you for stopping by.
I hope everyone has had as good a Memorial Day as I'm having.
I would like to thank all of you from the bottom of my heart for the kind words.
There is no way I can express my appreciation for the comments I have had the honor to read.
Of course, this isn't about me; it's about those brave men and women out there protecting us.
Chuckie would be proud to know that his sacrifice is appreciated. Unfortunately, there are men and women just like Chuckie that have made and are going to make the ultimate sacrifice. We must remember to keep them in our prayers as well as all the people affected by their loss.
Thank you
Dave Morehead
